East Meets West - California Release Parties

Posted by AP

Three big announcements today, something for everyone.

1. We are proud to announce the Radio Silence Los Angeles Release Party, presented by Nike Sportswear on October 8th featuring a special Cro-Mags Jam. Listen California, we know the Lakers choked against the Celtics, we know New York City birthed the hardest mosh parts known to man as showcased on The Age of Quarrel, and you can’t get anything resembling pizza on your coast but you can come out and show that you aren’t soft..just sayin’. We’ll give you the edge on burritos out of kindness. Come and enjoy this free event, which will start with a question-and-answer session with several contributors and Nathan and myself. Don’t forget to RSVP so you aren’t stuck on Vine bummed that you aren’t hearing Malfunction!

2. Immediately after the last notes of World Peace we’re heading over to Beauty Bar. Gibby Miller is going to be spinning early punk and hardcore, Budweiser is going to provide free beer (if that’s your thing) and Independent Truck Company is chipping in to have a killer time. Several hardcore and skateboarding legends will be hanging out so it should be a special night.

3. Lastly if Street Justice or Bud isn’t your cup of tea then you should show up to the Radio Silence Book Signing and Acoustic Jam on October 9th. Popeye from Farside and Jeff Caudill from Gameface will be doing acoustic sets and we have several contributors coming out to hang and sign books. It’s a nice opportunity to get your mind off the economy and the general malaise of being a US citizen these days, we pinky swear that no one will mention politics or recession.

Extra special thanks to MTV, Nike, Beauty Bar and Independent Truck Company along with all the bands, solo dudes and DJs for making this happen.
